Introduction
Rhythms of Joy is an interactive African drumming and cultural storytelling experience designed to engage students through rhythm, music, movement, singing, and stories. Rooted in Ghanaian cultural traditions, the program gives children and young people an opportunity to learn by participating—not simply watching.
Through hands-on drumming, call-and-response songs, cultural storytelling, and group rhythms, students discover how music can build confidence, cooperation, creativity, focus, and a stronger sense of community.

Sample 45–60 Minute Session
1. Rhythmic Welcome: An energetic introduction using simple rhythms, clapping, movement, and call-and-response to bring the group together.
2. Meet the Instruments: Students are introduced to traditional Ghanaian drums and percussion instruments, including their sounds, roles, and cultural significance.
3. Hands-On Drumming: Students learn basic rhythms and practice together, gradually building from simple patterns into a group rhythm.
4. Call-and-Response Songs: Students learn traditional-style Ghanaian songs and vocal responses that encourage participation, memory, and listening.
